The FVP Vegetative Pre-seeded Felt is a biodegradable fabric for erosion control and revegetation of surfaces subject to run-off and surface erosion. It is made up of a weave of natural and biodegradable cellulose fibres containing seeds of grass species and fertilisers.
The FVP Vegetative Pre-seeded Felt is used on slopes, banks of canals and wherever revegetation is impeded by erosion caused by precipitation. It is made of natural materials that decompose naturally and do not contaminate the environment with chemicals.
Seeds are protected inside the biomat, they germinate spontaneously and the biodegradable fabric decomposes naturally in the soil once the seeds are completely developed.
Tenax FVP is available in rather light reels that can be moved manually. The product can be installed quickly and it adjusts to the soil structure.
It can be combined with a geomat for erosion control. In order to speed its installation and maximise its effectiveness, Tenax has created the Multimat P pre-seeded geomat, where the Multimat three-dimensional geomat is factory laminated to the FVP pre-seeded felt.
